Thursday November 15
Today was definitely a tale of two halves. On the plus side, I got to go swimming (well, sort of) for the first time since my op.
Auntie Emily and Auntie Sara commented how well I looked (thanks for sounding so surprised, Mum). And I got to go in a large fish tank instead of the pool - it felt like I'd been demoted to a puppy paddling pool until the floor started to move!
I had to really work hard to keep up but it was worth it for all the gravy bones waiting at the end. I like this treadmill lark, me - bring it on!
But the euphoria of being good only lasted for a short while. I had such a bad tummy ache later (gravy bone heaven isn't all it's cracked up to be) that, well, I couldn't help it.
I couldn't help but leave a pile on the kitchen floor (twice), having kept Mum up half the night. I don't think she was very pleased. I tried to let her know I wanted to go out but since my op, I can't bark or cry.
I really tried to tell you, Mum, I really did. Honest...
