Well Mum is on a right high after spending a couple of days in Surrey with Jenny, her childhood friend .
"Working," she said. "Riding Jenny's stunning warmblood gelding Gero," I say. But then I've seen some photos that Mum has posted on Facebook of her shadowing world-famous vet Noel 'The Bionic Vet' Fitzpatrick for Your Dog as he carried out some mind-boggling procedures on dogs.
First there was a total hip replacement in a Staffordshire Bull Terrier before a Y-T fracture repair on a Springer Spaniel's humerus.
Veterinary science sure has come a long way in the last few years but I think Mum was brave to watch two operations - she normally faints whenever anything red and semi-living comes on the telly so I'm surprised the veterinary nurses didn't have to step over her crumpled mass on the floor.
Way to go Mum! Shame Dr Fitzpatrick can't wave his magic wand for my ailments though... sob.
